PC Announces the Development of Crimping Pin Standards for Automotive Electronics

Issuing time:2018-03-25 11:30

IPC - The International Association of Electronic Industry Connections has announced the development of a new standard for the performance and specifications of crimping pins for electronic enterprises with high reliability requirements such as automobiles and aerospace. So far, there is no standard that can meet the requirements of automotive and other highly feasible industries for crimping pin technology, so this is a highly anticipated standard by the industry, and it is expected to be released in the second half of 2017. The IPC Standards Development Committee will organize experts engaged in design and assembly to collaborate in the development of this standard. We are full of expectations for this new proposed standard, and the automotive electronics industry in Europe has specifically requested the development of this standard, indicating that European companies are integrating into the IPC standards organization, which will accelerate the internationalization process of IPC standards. "In addition, this standard on electronic hardware crimping pin technology will enrich the IPC standard tree," said David Bergman, Vice President of IPC Standards and Training (Original text from SMT Home Forum)

This standard will be the second standard developed by IPC specifically for rapidly growing automotive electronics, and it is also an important benefit for European members with a concentrated automotive electronics industry. Standard development has always been an important core service provided by IPC to its members. Sanjay Huprikar, Vice President of IPC Member Success, said, "Our IPC regards crimping pin technology standards as an important mission to serve European members, helping them remain invincible in business. In future technical activities such as standard development, we will continue to listen to the voices of European members and convey them to the industry. We welcome more European members to participate in IPC standard development work For more content on IPC standard development, please click on the link: http://www.ipc.org.cn/Standards.asp.
